New birthday jammies from Yai Yai

Lizzie got a package in the mail today from Yai Yai--she had ordered her some cool new tie-dye jammies from Lands End for her birthday--but they were backordered! They are all washed and she is loving wearing them for bedtime tonight! Thank you Yai Yai!

Lizzie lost her first tooth!

Lizzie has had a loose tooth for about a month. About 2 weeks ago, we noticed the new tooth was impatiently growing in behind her baby teeth. Tonight we went out for her free ColdStone birthday ice cream. On the way home, she showed us how loose it had gotten. She brushed her teeth and then I worked it a bit, pulled for a second, and out it popped. She is very excited!

Lizzie was so happy to have Little Grandma come visit!

Lizzie wanted an "Eve" Cake--the Eve from Wall*E

Yesterday, Lizzie turned "a whole hand" old--yep, the big number 5! She was so happy that Little Grandma could come visit for the day. She also really wanted her good friend, Carson Sainsbury, and his family to come for dinner and to swim. Well, due to global warming, we enjoyed the nicest July 13th in memory--about 76 degrees for the high! So, we enjoyed a yummy outside BBQ and then visited and played with Grandma & the Sainsburys. Thanks to everyone who remembered her big day with calls, cards, and gifts. We appreciate you all.

A Visit to Oma & Opa

We stopped on our way into town for a short visit with Oma & Opa. The girls enjoyed chatting and swinging with Oma. Thanks to Aunt Gina for a Liebnitz cookie. :-) The poppies in the backyard were breathtaking! It was a nice visit--thanks Oma & Opa for letting us drop by.

Lizzie--Preschool Graduate!

Lizzie graduated from Mrs. Patricia's preschool on Tuesday, June 2nd. She does not like to sing in front of people so she made funny faces while everyone else in her class sang. Funny girl! :-)

Elder & Sister Beckert--Missionaries!

We had a great weekend last week helping Mom & Dad Beckert with their farewell/sendoff prior to leaving for the MTC June 29th. They will serve for one year at the Washington DC Temple. We took a few pictures to remember the occasion.
